"Penis amputation lawsuit tossed out by Jefferson County Circuit Court judge

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama
-- A lawsuit filed by a Birmingham last month claiming his penis was
amputated during a circumcision operation at Princeton Baptist Medical
Center was tossed out by a judge in Jefferson County Circuit Court
Thursday.
Judge Jim Hughey III
dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice, giving the plaintiff, Johnny
Lee Banks Jr., until Sept. 8 to file an amended complaint. Sworn
statements by nurses say Banks had a circumcision at the hospital
months before he claims, and there was no record of any amputation.
